A reading of the classic children’s story “Ferdinand the Bull” came to life with the stroke of a bow, Bach’s Cello Suite No. 4 took on new meaning through interaction with contemporary dance, and a violin/cello duo laid down some original grooves. Evocative melodies and infectious dance rhythms united two distinct sounds. Decorah favorite Maritza and the new Luther Tango Ensemble (directed by visiting professor Michael O’Brien) took the stage, and these Balkan, Romany, and Argentine tunes inspired audiences to get up and groove.
